About FreeProgramm.fun

FreeProgramm.fun is a hand-kept catalog of desktop software. Each program gets a real page: a description written for humans, a feature list, system requirements, the official logo, and exactly one action button that does what it says.

Alongside the website there is a desktop Launcher for Windows. It reads the same catalog over the same public API, installs the packages we host on request, and shows you when a newer version is listed. You can read more on the Launcher page.

Every entry is one of two kinds, and the page always tells you which:

• Vendor download. The button says Get from official site and opens the developer’s own download page in a new tab. We host nothing, mirror nothing and modify nothing. This is how every commercial product here works, and most of the free ones too.
• Hosted package. For freely redistributable software we may host a ZIP ourselves. Then the button says Download, the exact file size is shown, and its SHA-256 checksum is published on the page. The Launcher verifies that checksum before it extracts anything.

We do not host pirated software, cracks, keygens, license bypasses, or “repacks”. We do not wrap anyone’s installer in our own, and we never describe a paid program as free.

Every logo on this site comes from the vendor: their official brand assets, their own website, or their official source repository. Product names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used here to identify the software. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a distributor for any of them.

• Download counts move only when a download actually happens. Nothing is seeded, padded or rounded up.
• Ratings come only from real visitor votes. There are no invented scores and no invented review text.
• No fake urgency: no countdown timers, no “3 people are downloading this now” toasts, no limited-slots banners.
• One clear button per program. No decoy download buttons, no ads dressed as downloads, no redirect chains, and nothing starts downloading until you click.
• No progress bar, size or checksum is ever shown for a file we do not actually serve.
• We store a salted hash of your IP address for spam protection — never the address itself. See the privacy policy.

This build ships with a seed script used to populate a fresh database. Anything it generates is labelled where it appears: placeholder interface artwork says so on the image itself and above the gallery, and the demo archives it can create contain a plain-text notice instead of software. Real catalog data — logos, versions, licences, official links — is entered by hand.
