Terms of Service

Using this site means you agree to what follows. It is short on purpose.

Last updated: August 2026

1. What we provide

FreeProgramm.fun is a catalog of desktop software. For most entries we provide information and a link to the developer’s own download page; for a small number of freely redistributable programs we also host the file ourselves. Access is free and requires no account. We may add, change, or remove listings at any time, and we may take the service offline for maintenance.

2. Software is not ours

Each program listed here is the work of its own developer and is distributed under its own licence. Product names and logos belong to their respective owners; we use them to identify the software and are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them. Downloading a program does not grant you any rights beyond its licence — read it before you install. Where a program is commercial, shareware, or trial software, its own terms about payment and use apply.

3. No warranty

Programs are provided “as is”. For a package we host we verify that it matches the checksum we publish; for everything else the file comes straight from the developer and never passes through us. Either way we cannot warrant that any program is free of defects, fit for your purpose, or compatible with your system. You install software at your own risk, and you are responsible for keeping your own backups.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not attempt to break, overload, or probe the service or its rate limits.
  • Do not script the download endpoints to inflate counters or exhaust bandwidth. Automated access should use the documented public API at a reasonable rate.
  • Do not attempt to gain access to the admin panel or any account.
  • Do not submit ratings in bulk or through automated means.

We rate-limit requests and may block traffic that abuses the service.

5. Ratings you submit

By rating a program you confirm the rating is your own honest opinion. We store one rating per visitor per program and may remove ratings that appear to be automated or coordinated.

6. The desktop Launcher

The Launcher is provided under the licence included with its source code. It only installs software when you explicitly ask it to, only runs installed software when you explicitly ask it to, and never installs itself into Windows startup. If you modify it, that build is yours and not ours.

7. Copyright

We do not host pirated, cracked, modified or repacked software. If you believe something here infringes your rights, follow the process on the DMCA page and we will act on valid notices.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or of any software downloaded from it, including data loss or lost profits.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
