About Blender
Blender covers the whole 3D pipeline in one program: modelling and sculpting, UV unwrapping, texture painting, rigging and animation, particles and physics, and two renderers — Cycles, a physically based path tracer with GPU acceleration, and EEVEE, a real-time rasteriser for previews and stylised work.
It also carries tools people do not expect: a compositor, a video sequence editor, 2D animation through Grease Pencil, and geometry nodes for building procedural models. Python scripting reaches essentially all of it.
Blender is free software under the GPL, funded by the Blender Foundation and its supporters. There is no paid edition, no per-seat licence and no render-node fee, and the licence permits third parties to host and redistribute it.
